Drops of Life - 79 x 70, completed 2006 - Inquire for sale price.
This quilt started as my personal response to 9-11. But as I hand appliqued the drops during the following 2 weeks, in bright bold fabrics, representing the diverse lives that were so violently lost, the quilt quickly became so much more for me. It became my response to all the violence against humanity!

The "Drops" which started out as blood drops, became "tear" drops, which then morphed into drops of "Life" when I added the border. The words, of my dear friend and sage Lew Epstein, "when women and children are safe, the world will be safe!" resonated within the border fabric.
